GIZ

See how Kaz Software built a national-scale climate finance discovery platform empowering Bangladesh to access and manage global climate funds.

Navigating global climate finance is complex. Hundreds of funds, evolving eligibility criteria, and fragmented data made it difficult for Bangladesh’s government, NGOs, and project developers to identify and access the right opportunities. ERD’s International Climate Finance Centre (ICFC) needed a single intelligent platform to connect climate ambition with financing action.

The Need

ERD and GIZ needed a comprehensive climate finance information system to centralize data on funds, projects, and financing

mechanisms—empowering users to discover, compare, and manage opportunities effectively.

Index 500+ national and international climate projects

Categorize 100+ funding sources aligned with SDGs & NDCs

Support multi-stakeholder access and role-based administration

Enable fund discovery, filtering, and comparison across sectors and geographies

The Solution

We built a centralized climate finance portal for ERD’s International Climate Finance Centre, enabling users to search, filter, and compare global climate funds aligned with Bangladesh’s SDGs and NDCs. The platform maintains detailed profiles of 100+ funding sources and offers filters for themes, sectors, eligibility, and funding scales. Users can analyze fund requirements side-by-side, improving their ability to match project ideas with suitable financing.
An admin-controlled backend manages project pipelines, fund databases, sectoral categorization, district-level insights, and document storage—ensuring accuracy as the climate finance landscape evolves. Built with Vue.js, Laravel, REST APIs, token-based security, and MySQL, the system synchronizes data in real time and supports future integrations with national tracking systems. Through user-centered, iterative UX design, the platform now provides unprecedented visibility across 500+ climate projects and 100+ funding sources, serving government agencies and local organizations with a unified climate finance ecosystem.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge lay in simplifying a global maze of climate finance into one coherent, searchable, and sustainable platform—usable by everyone from policymakers to grassroots organizations.

The Partnership

Our partnership with GIZ and ERD’s International Climate Finance Centre (ICFC) focused on national impact—transforming how Bangladesh discovers, manages, and leverages global climate finance.
Built using Vue.js and Laravel, the platform integrates 500+ climate projects and 100+ fund profiles, empowering stakeholders through a powerful fund navigator, data-driven dashboards, and secure admin ecosystem—positioning ICFC as the country’s central hub for climate finance intelligence.
