The Need

GNB needed a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) to:
• Track and monitor projects in all operating locations.
• Manage KPIs, financing, and budgets.
• Run GPS-enabled surveys through a mobile app.
• Offer transparent access to stakeholders.
The Solution
We designed and developed the MIS platform for Good Neighbors Bangladesh through an iterative Agile Kanban process that began with requirements discovery, module definition, and milestone planning. A dedicated analyst prepared the SRS, planned and executed sprints, and delivered features rapidly through AWS-hosted environments for continuous client feedback. The project manager handled architecture, sprint execution, deployment, and overall delivery. The platform included a web portal and an Android application that allowed field teams to collect GPS-tagged beneficiary data within defined perimeter rules.
To handle dynamic entity structures, MongoDB was selected as the data store, and timeline challenges were addressed through phased SRS preparation and focused role consolidation. Despite initial constraints, the team delivered the full solution within the extended period, strengthening client confidence and enabling GNB to adopt the MIS platform across all upcoming projects ahead of schedule.
The Challenge
Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB), a member of Good Neighbors International (GNI), has been serving children, mothers, and families since 1996. Their projects span education, health, sanitation, disaster relief, and community development. But before the MIS project, GNB relied on papers, Excel, and Word to manage project information. Tracking activities, budgets, and data across 12 districts was time-consuming and error-prone.
