The Need

Swisscontact needed a platform that could unify stakeholders, handle massive data volumes, and deliver real-time project insights for reporting to donors and partners.

The Solution

We led a usability focused design process for Swisscontact’s B SkillFUL monitoring system. User research across the program team informed lightweight wireframes and mockups that were optimized for low bandwidth environments and user groups with varied technical skills. These validated designs formed the functional blueprint for development.
The final platform was built as a Microsoft .NET web application with a JavaScript based frontend and MS SQL Server as the central database. To reduce training needs, we produced step by step video tutorials to support users in navigating common tasks, ensuring consistent adoption and reducing support overhead.

The Challenge

Swisscontact needed a software solution to manage and monitor the B-SkillFUL project, which aimed to train 40,000 disadvantaged men and women. The platform had to:
