The Need
The goal was to create a first-person shooter game for HTC VIVE that pushed boundaries, delivered high performance, and gave us a foundation to explore future VR projects.
The Solution
We developed a VR game that required rethinking interaction design from scratch due to the immersive nature of virtual reality. Although Unity and C# development skills translated well, VR UX demanded a new approach to gestures, object interactions, and usability conventions shaped by real world experience. Early prototypes revealed user expectations for natural movement, prompting frequent usability testing and rapid iteration to align interactions with intuitive behavior.
To support evolving VR hardware ecosystems, we implemented interface based abstraction allowing easy adaptation to new devices without rewriting core logic. Continuous feedback loops, hallway testing, and team wide play sessions ensured the game evolved in response to realistic user behavior, resulting in a more intuitive and immersive experience.
The Challenge
Kaz Software’s first VR project was ambitious: build a full-blown first-person shooting game for the HTC VIVE. We quickly discovered that VR requires new ways of thinking about interaction, usability, and hardware integration. The challenges included:

The Partnership
This was a passion project as much as a client engagement. Kaz Software partnered with early VR innovators to create one of the first VIVE shooter games in Bangladesh. The collaboration gave us hands-on experience with VR development, setting the stage for future immersive projects.
